The Venus

sleek and sexy — a lighting fixture you need to know about

BY STEPHANIE CASIMIRO

A new age has dawned in the lighting industry. Gone are the days of Romex wiring and high voltage. With the emergence of LED technology and its minimal power requirements, energy efficient lighting solutions represent today’s state-of-the-art. Easy-to-install, cost-effective LED lighting offers unmatched flexibility, with exciting lifestyle and wellness features and benefits. In short, the possibilities are endless with today’s technology regarding lighting solutions. Users now control the color and temperature of their lighting.

One of the leaders we’ve been following is Colorbeam Lighting, a manufacturer with global reach. Their GATEway DMX processor offers an array of feature sets, including circadian rhythm/human-centric lighting applications, tunability, RGB/color, third-party controllability and perfect flicker-free dimming from 0-100 – in a wide array of indoor recessed fixtures, tape light and outdoor/landscape fixtures for residential, hospitality, commercial and MDU applications.

One of the products that we really like is a designer’s dream fixture named The Venus. It’s sleek and elegant. The Venus has been designed and engineered to be installed in ceilings with as little as 2″ of ceiling space. It is a trimless/mud-in fixture that is only 1.5″ thick and requires no back can. The aperture is a mere 1.5 inches in a 2.5 inch trim.

Of special note, this fixture is designed to be serviceable simply by unscrewing the aperture and accessing the LED chip.

The Venus offers all the features and benefits sought after by luxury homeowners, designers, architects and other professional specifiers. With an incredible feature set The Venus combines the ultimate in performance and aesthetics.
