A homeowner in Baldwinsville, NY, was searching for a lighting solution that would solve his lighting needs for his new home. He was intrigued by Colorbeam's low voltage RGBW lighting and its easy wiring solution that is CAT 6 cable or speaker wire installation. The client's goal was to outline the front of his home and install pathway lighting in his backyard.
The RGBW lights were the biggest attraction to Colorbeam Lighting because he would be able to set up any lighting scene at the exterior of the house. Colorbeam's full complement of RGBW lights allowed the homeowner to program unlimited scenes. In addition, this solution allowed the homeowner to display holiday lighting which eliminates the use of Christmas lights.
Installations Unlimited was hired to install the Colorbeam solution throughout the entire residence. Installations Unlimited is one of CNY's premier home electronics shops which is managed and operated and by Sean Eckler and team.
Installations Unlimited installed landscape lighting and accent lighting in the home. This was done with RGBW tape lighting & tracks.
This was Installations Unlimited's first project that included the deployment and installation of lighting fixtures. Initially, Colorbeam's large product portfolio made it challenging for The UI Team to narrow down the most succinct solution. However, Colorbeam's assistance throughout the design process allowed for a seamless sales to installation to commissioning process.
Sean and his team were efficiently able to install Colorbeam Lighting in the entire house and without any issues. Team IU set up 4-5 scenes that could be used throughout the year, depending on the season. The client is using Colorbeam's user interface and color wheel via a mobile device integrated with Control4 to change the lighting scenes.
