Twenty-five years in the making.

Founded in 2016 by Michael Teolis and Maurizio Gaudio, Colorbeam Lighting was built on a simple but powerful insight. As owner-operators of a low-voltage audio-visual company, Mike and Maurizio recognized that the emergence of LED technology presented a rare opportunity — to eliminate traditional 120V infrastructure over Romex wiring and replace it with a clean, 48V low-voltage system running over CAT6 network cable directly to the fixture.

Colorbeam pioneered low-voltage tunable lighting — and never stopped pushing it forward.

Today, the system's infrastructure, products, and features deliver superior lighting quality in the healthiest way possible. Colorbeam continues to innovate through its Circadian Rhythm and Human-Centric Lighting applications, its proprietary HEKA chipset, and its patented GATEway processor. The elimination of EMF and flicker further strengthens the wellness package — making Colorbeam the highest quality, healthiest lighting solution available for homeowners, venues, consultants, and specifiers.

His experience building sales teams and distribution channels is driving growth for Colorbeam, its resellers, and specifier partners. Mike has a clear vision for the company: leading the transition of architectural lighting to a low-voltage infrastructure, and being recognized in the wellness space as a brand that makes a genuine, positive impact on people's health.

Maurizio Gaudio

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

With over twenty-five years across sales, technical, and engineering roles in the AV industry, Maurizio leads Colorbeam's product and technology initiatives. His deep expertise in systems deployment and his drive to always be innovating allow him to develop products that resellers can install, commission, and support effectively. Heavily informed by emerging science on artificial light and its impact on human health, Maurizio's vision is clear: leverage science and technology to deliver lighting that makes a real difference in people's lives.
